The Poitou is a lovely, rural area with many small streams meandering through the countryside. It is a clean area that has hardly been touched by hectic modern life.

The countryside abounds with old castles and each and every village has its own Roman church dating back to the eleventh and twelfth century.

Scenic Poitiers is only half an hour by car. A beautiful and pleasant country town with a splendid center. No cars are allowed in the centre which is full of restaurants, cafes and outside eating and drinking.
